Some bright sparks at Utrish Dophinarium, Russia (a facility for capturing and taming marine mammals before shipping them off to facilities around the world) conducted an experiment to see if a naked person would have more luck taming Beluga whales, as their marine experts believe belugas do not like to be touched by artificial materials such as diving suits.
36 Year old Natalia Avseenko threw sanity, caution and clothes to the wind and jumped in 1.5℃ water in the hope that her lack of clothes would allow her a better rapport with the whales (!) by a lack of hindrance to their echo location!
